How serious is bullying in schools today. What can be done to stop it at school?

Everyone knows bullying is a huge problem, and we all need to work to stop it. Nowadays, according to several investigations, at least one in four students has been bullied.

One of the reasons that shows bullying is still a serious problem in schools is that governments dedicate a part of the education budget to implement measures that prevent bullying as well as protocols to help students who have suffered from it.

On the other hand, we may think that bullying no longer exists because we do not read anything about it in the newspapers or because it is not mentioned on the TV news. But bullying continues to exist, it can happen daily, weekly, or monthly. The bullied student can rarely predict when the bullying will occur, and if the student can predict it, often teachers and staff may not address the incident.

Schools need to find ways to reduce this problem. It would be important to have a clear and complete definition of bullying so that it is easier to detect and stop it. In addition, all students should know what behavior is expected of them in class, adapting the rules of behavior to the age of the children.

To conclude, I believe that we must be vigilant to ensure that bullying is out of our schools and in case it occurred, there should be the necessary mechanisms in schools to combat it.

Is bullying just a school problem?

Overall, bullying can happen to any children and it refers to aggressive behaviour that hurts other children both physically and emotionally. Also, it could happen anywhere, so bullying is not just a school problem.

Bullying is a form of violence and the children who are bullied might have terrible consequences, both physical and mental and in some cases, it can lead to suicide. Consequently, it is a failure of society that does not know how to face this problem.

Furthermore, the current society is one of the most competitive and aggressive in history. So bullying is a reflection of the society in which our young people are growing up. It is only necessary to review the messages we receive from different means of communication, in which hurtful criticism of the clothing, weight and personality of the famous are allowed. Added to this, there is an increase in domestic violence.

In this context, institutions, teachers and parents must work on prevention and educate in non-violence, coexistence and respect for diversity. It is also necessary that schools have enough professionals to detect the aggression and intervene, as well as a fluid and close relationship with families.

In conclusion, this aggressive behaviour is not acceptable and does not have to be tolerated. Everyone loses if aggressions are tolerated.

IS BULLYING JUST A SCHOOL PROBLEM?

Bullying is one of the biggest problems which children have to deal with every day. Every year, there are more than five thousand bullying cases. However, does bullying only affect children?

First of all, due to this problem, children have troubles in many aspects of their life like social skills. Another affected aspect it is their self-esteem because a lot of children feel that they are guilty of the situation they are living.

Nevertheless, work harassment exists too and commonly it is called mobbing. According to official data, eleven per cent of the population has admitted that they have suffered any kind of harassment in the working area. The foundation called Eurofound has done particulars which reflect that mobbing has been increased in the last couple of years.

One solution that can be developed to reduce bullying and mobbing is to give talks more often to children because it is necessary to teach them that it is not good to abuse their mates or someone.

To sum up, I believe that in general we could do more than we are doing at the moment. We have to make drastic decisions for having a better and more peaceful environment.

Generally speaking, bullying can take place in several environments although the problem is more often among pre-teens and teenagers. The research of UNICEF reveals that 6.9 % of Spanish students have suffered from bullying.

Firstly, in the school environment, bullying means aggressive attitudes, as well as deliberate and repetitive, which are shown by one or more students against the other one, without apparent cause.

According to experts, there are two kinds of aggressions:  physical violence, like assaults against the victim or his possessions; or verbal abuse, as insults, derogatory nicknames, or offensive messages.

On the one hand, the student who bullies imposes his power on the other one, the victim, who suffers silently while he is feeling pain, fear, and distress. Due to the fact that the victim can be led to the suicide.

However, i tis not often easy to detect aggressions at school because most of them have usually been perpetrating in corridors, in the bathroom, or in the playground, during the student’s free time. In fact, more attacks happen while the victim goes to school or comes back home. Furthermore, the problem grew up with verbal abuse and its dissemination on social media (as cyberbullying).

In conclusion, bullying is a problem mainly in school, where students are at their more vulnerable age.

BULLYING IN SCHOOLS

Bullying is a type of violence very common in schools and very difficult to detect. It consists of aggressions that are repeated among classmates from the same or different schools.

There are many different types of bullying, but the most common forms are physical and verbal. Although it is more common in schools, it can happen in other places such as parks and streets and it affects children of all ages and social classes.

In recent years, due to technologies and social networks, cyberbullying is increasing and is the most notorious type, abusing via social services. This type of violence is very difficult to identify because it´s usually anonymous and sometimes parents don´t know that their children suffer from or children are afraid, and they don´t say anything about it. Making abusing online service through.

Bullying causes traumatic effects in children who suffer from it, and the consequences for victims can last a lifetime and in the worst case can suicide.

Because it is a very complex problem, it is not easy to find a solution, although the best solution is prevention, so it is very important that parents and teachers are involved, and children report bullying.

How serious is bullying in schools today. What can be done to stop it at school?

Nowadays, bullying is a problem which is increasing within the school environment and could have important effects on the child development.

Firstly, the family or friends’ context can influence the development of aggressive behavior on the part of aggressors. Aggressors are used to seeing the violence as something usual and they try to repeat the same acts they see in those situations.

Next, it is necessary to analyze to the victim who suffers from violence and many times he doesn't know how to get help. He feels alone and he doesn't even tell his own family or real friends the problem. Added to this, with the use of new technologies, the victim receives new attacks through social networks during all day.

Finally, the third part to consider is the action of the school. If we look at another point and we don’t pay attention to the first symptoms, the problem will be increasing in a quiet way without realizing it.

Therefore, I consider that it would be a good idea to start offering special classes on this subject, focusing on both the aggressor and the victim. Also, the use of social networks and their influence should be another subject of special interest. Besides, more control at the school to detect these behaviours should help to prevent them.

To conclude, I believe in taking actions as soon as possible so that nobody suffers from this problem at school. The time is very valuable to waste it.

How serious is bullying in schools today. What can be done to stop it at school?

School bullying is a form of verbal or physical and psychological abuse among students for a long time. Usually, it happens in class but now, it’s very common on social media too, and the worst is when both happen at the same time. Children who are bullied are frightened of the idea of going to school or leaving home. Also, in some cases, they might think about committing suicide.

There are a few tips to stop it:

First, children need to understand what is bullying, and how to face it in a safe way. Furthermore, we have to tell them that this behaviour is unacceptable, and the best way to get help. Secondly, it’s necessary to keep fluid communication with them. Talking to them and listening to them is the best way to understand their concerns and gain their trust.

On the other hand, it’s very important to encourage children to do activities or hobbies that they like, so that, they can make friends and help each other in bullying situations.

And finally, we must teach them to be polite and kind to other children.

In conclusion, school bullying is a behavioural problem. It's hard to stop it, but if we learn more about it, we’ll help our children to improve their conduct. We need to raise polite children, but we also must learn to communicate better with them, and they will trust adults, parents and teachers more, and all together can face their problems and end them.

IS BULLYING JUST A SCHOOL PROBLEM?

As we are all aware, bullying is a very serious problem at school because many students suffer from it. Bullying in students affects both their studies and private life. But it is not just a school problem because in the street, for example, there are also bullied situations.

The main reason is that bullying is universal, anyone can suffer from it despite his/her social class, money… Besides, just these two examples are causes why people offend others who do not have these things: money, high social class...

On the other hand, a lot of people in the world suffer from bullying because of our shallow society and the little empathy there is. This type of harassment leads to continuous psychological discomfort and a lack of self-esteem; and, in some extreme cases, it can lead to self-harm and even suicide.

Not to be the victim of an aggressor, we have to teach values, such as “violence is not the solution”, “no one is better than another” or “the grades do not define your intelligence”.

In conclusion, I believe that no one deserves to be a victim of aggression, physical or psychological. And, if someone who is reading this is bullied or feels harassed, speak up, do not shut up because even if you do not believe it, if you shut up, it will be worse.

Bullying is a current problem in Spanish schools. It exists because a child hurts another and the rest of students laugh at the words which he says. Even, a kid can beat him. It not only happens in schools, but also in the street.

To begin with, children, who suffer from it, don’t like going to school because they feel alone, the rest of the educative centre doesn’t want to be their friends. So, these guys have a worse experience in school or high school than others. In addition, their marks could be bad because having friends is an important part and support at these ages.

Furthermore, this problem causes psychological problems, like anxiety or depression. These mental illnesses are harmful to children, they are younger to have them. In many situations, the kids, who are in this reality, can commit suicide because they think that nobody loves them.

To solve this problem, schools could require students to wear uniform. In many cases, the reason for bullying is for clothes that someone wears because they reflect family economy. Doing strategies such as role-playing games with students might be a good solution because they help to understand the situation of bullied kids.

In my opinion, bullying is a serious problem. Many children suffer it in silence, they don’t have support to say their situation. I believe that people should have more information about it because the world knows the problem, but nobody does anything.
