CINEMA WILL SOON BE A THING OF THE PAST

Everyone has gone to the cinema in more than one occasion. Nowadays cinemas are not as frequented as before. As I see it, there are many ways to enjoy films and, due to new technologies, the cinema will tend to disappear for many reasons.

To begin with, cinemas are not as cheap as they used to be before. If you decide to go to the cinema at the weekend, the price of the ticket along with some pop-corn is too high. So if you fancy going to the cinema with your whole family, you will have to pay a large quantity of money.

Secondly, with new technologies people prefer staying in or playing with their tablets or video games among other electronic devices. In addition to this, with new technologies such as home-cinema or new platforms, you can watch TV quietly on your sofa without any advertisement, or without having to dress up or drive to the cinema. What is more, you can choose the film to watch and stop it when you want to make a break.

Of course, there are many opponents to this idea who will always be fanatics of watching films at the cinema. They can argue that a good film watched at the cinema can not be compared to seeing it at home. The screen is much bigger, the sound which involves you is amazing and the atmosphere is really nice. Part from the seats, which are more comfortable than before. Nonetheless, these people are a minority.

All things considered, we could say that if the prizes still growing up and new technologies are being developed as until now, cinema, as we know today, won’t have a chance and personally speaking it can be seriously affected.

Are newspapers necessary nowadays?

How many times have you gone to a newsagent’s near your house to buy a newspaper? In my view, it is a pity that there are more and more people who do not buy the newspaper, comics, or magazines anymore. The way I see it, right now, thy are not as necessary as they were some years ago.

In the first place, a lot of paper is spent to create a newspaper. Although nowadays, many of them are made with recycled paper, which is something good for the environment. Reuse ping paper, it is clearly a good way to reduce the number of paper used. But it is better to use digital newspaper, so we do not use any paper at all.

Furthermore, you must pay to have access to the news that it contains, when in a digital newspaper you have the same information totally for free. Another drawback is that they have a limited number of pages, and they do not explain the news in detail.

On the other hand, there are those who believe that newspapers are a good way to read and disconnect from technologies. But right now, thank you to new technologies we have access to information immediately, and we also have the possibility of updated

In conclusion, it seems o me that newspapers will disappear not fat from now.

ARE NEWSPAPERS NECESSARY NOWADAYS?

We are living in a technological and digital world, and it has influenced our lifestyles; but could newspapers disappear?

It seems to me their days are counted.

To begin with, digital newspapers will replace them because are informed faster about the news all around the world. Furthermore, if you are in a foreign country you will know what is happening in your country and city.

Not  long ago, it was difficult to find a newspaper from your city when you were on holidays. In addition to this, some newspapers have disappeared, such us Tiempo, Interviú, Escuela Española, because they were not bought.

When I started to work, if you wanted to know your final position, you had to wait for Escuela Española to be released at the newsagents’, now, you know it immediately.

Another major reason is people will save money reading the news online and, besides, our environment will be preserved because less paper will be used.

Contrary to what most people believe, we will have nostalgia of touching pages, smelling ink and even the sounds that newspapers produce.

All in all, I feel in the future the news will be read online, although newspapers will not disappear completely.

Cinema will soon be a thing of the past

If I had to choose between films and TV series, I would choose films. The best about films is when you go to the cinema and the whole room smells like popcorn, but over the past few years cinemas have been set aside and now it is the turn of new platforms such as Netflix.

On the one hand, these platforms permit us not to spend so much money going to the cinema, paying for the tickets, buying candies, etc. You can just chill at home, prepare some popcorn in the microwave and that is it.

What is more, you can enjoy the film alone or with the people you want, but one thing is for sure, you will not have to bear with the rude behaviour of some spectators, you will not have neckache because of the seats or you will not be the witness of the cuddles of couples.

On the other hand, you will not spend so much money, but you will spend it every single month to be able to watch something on these channels. Also, not all the films are available, so in the end, you will spend more money.

To sum up, from my point of view, cinemas will stay with us for a long time, because when we go to the movies, we feel a total different atmosphere, we are more into the film, and from the economic side, cinemas generate more money.

CINEMA WILL SOON BE A THING OF THE PAST

Nowadays, going to the cinema industry is an amazing and usual activity for many people to relax, but, is it still so popular as ten years ago? In my view, the popularity of cinema is going down, although there will always be people who love watching films at cinema.

To start with, these days, cinema has a lot of competitors such as watching or downloading films online or the new generation television platform, like Netflix, HBO, Amazon, etc. It involves you do not have to go out and you can see films whenever or whoever you like.

Apart from this, the price of tickets has risen in recent years. The tickets for one film can cost from five to eight euros, consequently, when a family with two children wants to go to the cinema they would pay a lot of money and it may discourage many people.

Moreover, there are fewer and fewer cinemas, therefore, it can be a problem for people who live far away, for example, they have to buy tickets for a public transport or spend more money on fuel for the car.
It is argued that, cinemas are trying to improve the standard of their films, many technologies are developed to make the viewers feel as real as possible and you can watch 3D or even 4D films without paying so much.

To sum up, I believe that cinema will soon be a thing of the past. The new ways of
watching films are developing very fast and are more convenient for most people.

Are newspapers necessary nowadays?

With the development of electronic devices like computers, laptops, smartphones and the internet, it is easy to think that the end of newspapers is not very far.  However, I continue thinking that there exists a future for the newspaper.

The first to take into consideration is, the newspaper is a part of our culture, and this type of media is the cheapest one to access to information. It is true that with the internet and electronic devices, you can have all types of information. But first, you need to buy an electronic device and access to

Internet: the cost is not the same.

In addition, reading a long article with electronic devices is more difficult than reading it on paper. Besides, you can take notes easily then, when you have finished reading it, you can file it or use the  paper for other things.

Are newspapers necessary nowadays?

Over the last few years, newspapers have begun to lose readers due to the irruption of the 21st Century platform: the Internet. In my view, printed press is going to be gradually replaced by online media.

Nowadays, young people do not want to pay for reading news. They prefer to be informed by other sources such as the television or the radio, which are mainly free for everybody. What is more, news appears now instantly in our phones, so why do we need to wait to read it the next day?

Printed newspapers are expensive as to produce for the enterprises as for the readers to buy them. Moreover, readers have to make an effort to find enough time to go to newsagent’s every morning before going to work.

Although many people think that recycled paper is used nowadays to make newspapers because of the dark colour of the pages, they equally destroy a huge amount of trees every year. It is unnecessary to waste the resources of the Earth in printed press when there exist other ways to read the news.

Taking everything in consideration, the extinction of the newspapers as we know throughout life, is closer than we may think. Without any doubt, the future of the media is on the Internet.
